Petronella West co-founded boutique wealth management firm Investment Quorum in 2000 as a collective of discretionary fund managers equipped to respond to clients’ investment and structuring needs.
West believes that the ‘old model’ of wealth management is ‘broken’, and in 2025 the firm rolled out its own live performance reporting and management platform. Drawing on the firm’s unique data and insights, the platform helps clients have a ‘better, trusted experience with us’, she tells Spear’s.
Investment Quorum clients typically come to the firm to ‘solve a problem’ or navigate a significant life event, West says; this could be a business exit, an upcoming retirement or changes to inheritance tax. She adds that IQ’s goal is to take a strategic overview of each situation. ‘What we are very good at is building financial plans for clients ... it’s a very comprehensive package.’
