As vice chair for Cazenove’s UK wealth management business, she manages investment portfolios for large private families and charities across the UK and internationally.

Her mandate is twofold: preserve capital, and grow it in real terms. No two clients are the same, she insists, yet most share a common preoccupation – the responsibility that comes with substantial wealth, and the need for someone who understands it in the round. ‘We get to know clients well,’ she says, ‘learn what keeps them awake at night and what inspires them during the day.’

That intimacy is built into the structure of how she works. Each client is assigned a bespoke team, handpicked by Leppard to suit not just their financial requirements but their personalities. Her own role, she says, is to sit as senior member of every one of those teams, a through line across every relationship she oversees.
