Savills’ head of London residential since 2007, Jonathan Hewlett has been selling some of the best homes in the capital for 30 years.
With a sales history that includes the former In & Out Club on Piccadilly, the highly personable agent has likened the ultra-luxe end of the prime property market to the top end of the art market. ‘Not everyone’s comfortable with dealing with very high-net-worth individuals,’ says Hewlett, who aims to be a trusted adviser.
‘They get a bit scared of them.’ Clients who require ‘24/7’ service mean his life isn’t always glamorous, he points out. ‘I’ve done a viewing at midnight and agreed a sale, and my wife did question where the hell I’d been,’ he says, laughing.
