The partner at BKL advises on all aspects of income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax, and has advised holders of cryptocurrencies on the tax implications of their virtual investments. His clients include entrepreneurs and businesspeople, although he says he spends more of his time advising individuals whose wealth is well established. After almost 30 years in the industry, it is perhaps no surprise that he continues to receive a steady stream of new clients through referrals and word of mouth.

Jones adds that he works closely with colleagues and regularly collaborates with specialists across different technical areas when matters fall outside his primary expertise. ‘You can’t be a specialist on everything,’ he says.
