Hampson-Jones joined the firm in 2019 and works across both financial remedies and complex children cases; she also drafts nuptial and cohabitation agreements. She tells Spear’s that with children cases, developing a robust strategy early on is very important, but it can be hard to ‘persuade parents to go to a barrister, because they perceive it as a double-layer cost’. But with Alex Verdan KC as head of the children practice, she says, the team can create a strong ‘roadmap’ early on, ‘which is just so, so powerful’.
