An expert in contentious exits, whistleblowing and discrimination claims, Clive Howard of Keystone Law has handled numerous high-profile cases during his career as an employment lawyer.
‘I mainly act for individuals and senior executives in the world of finance, media and professional services,’ he tells Spear’s. ‘Usually the cases involve termination of employment or partnerships; one classic example would be joint founders of companies who are minority shareholders and then essentially get pushed out because other investors have become involved.’
Howard first rose to prominence after the 2008 financial crash, when he advised Paul Moore, the famous HBOS whistleblower, in his legal battle with the high street giant. The case resulted in a settlement from the bank and ultimately led to interventions from then-Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
