Spear’s Review

Alumni of the Doon School include Turner Prize-winning artist Sir Anish Kapoor, billionaire businessman Analjit Singh and former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi; they are just three of a long list of prominent Indians.

A boarding school close to the Himalayas, Doon takes a central place in Indian life, with an emphasis on social service rather than privilege. Academic results are extremely strong: destinations include top universities all over the world including a high percentage going to Oxford, Cambridge or Ivy League schools.

Head teacher

Dr Jagpreet Singh was appointed the 11th headmaster of the Doon School in 2020. With an academic career spanning three decades, Dr Singh has also held roles at Punjab Public School, Nabha, and Mayo College.
