Terrence Trainor, a partner in the Keystone family law team, initially trained in tax law and uses these skills to navigate the financial aspects of marital breakdown.
‘[With] family law, you need to understand about wills and estates; you need to understand about corporate structures; you need to understand about trusts,’ says Trainor, whose cases ‘almost always have an international element, whether clients are based overseas or own assets in multiple jurisdictions’.
He also works on complex child-related disputes, including living arrangements, international relocation and financial provision.
Being a part of Keystone is a significant advantage for Trainor, who has access to specialists across a wide range of practice areas, including aviation, yachts and commercial law. ‘We have around 450 lawyers, each with their own expertise,’ he explains.
