Pedro Dias Ferreira

Spear’s Review

A former Barclays private banker, Pedro Dias Ferreira was recruited to Goldman Sachs in 2021 as part of the bank’s expansion of its UK private banking operations. He specialises in advising clients from Southern Europe and Latin America.

‘The UK is a highlight for our endeavour to grow the business,’ said Stefan Bollinger, the bank’s co-head of private wealth management for EMEA, at the time of Dias Ferreira’s move. Bollinger emphasised the ongoing need to invest in the best talent to satisfy growing client demand from London in particular.

The firm now has more than 150 such advisers – all specialising in supporting UHNW clients – across the wider EMEA region.

With broad expertise in wealth structuring and financial planning, Dias Ferreira supported a range of Portuguese and Spanish-speaking wealthy families during his previous 11-year tenure at Barclays. In his spare time Dias Ferreira volunteers as a special constable for the Metropolitan Police to give back to what he calls ‘the greatest city on Earth’.

Adviser Profile

Pedro is a private wealth advisor, covering ultra-high net worth clients and family offices in London and Europe. Pedro joined Goldman Sachs in 2021 as a managing director. In this role, he focuses on Latin America for international clients, their families and cross jurisdictional needs.

Prior to joining the firm, Pedro was a senior private banker and head of Brazil at Barclays Private Bank. Before that, he worked for a multi-family office in London and was a management consultant for Deloitte in Lisbon.

Pedro earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Instituto Superior Tecnico in Lisbon in 2003 and an MBA from London Business School in 2009.
