Alexandra Loydon, private client director at St James’s Place, works with the firm's partners to support HNW clients. Starting her career as a solicitor and tax lawyer, she shifted to wealth management. Her specialities include financial planning, investment strategies, family succession planning, and business succession. 

Loydon is also 'passionate about raising financial awareness amongst 18-30 year olds’ in an effort to promote financial well-being in overlooked sectors.

Alex is Director of Partner Engagement and Consultancy within the Investment Division at St. James’s Place. She is responsible for ensuring the Company’s 4,500 strong Partnership of financial advisers is equipped and provided with a market leading investment and advice support proposition, to service its 850,000 clients across the UK. She also oversees SJP’s £25 billion Private Client business which focuses exclusively on services to High Net Worth and Ultra HighNet Worth clients, led by Paul Emery, Private Clients Director.

A private client lawyer by background, Alex is passionate about the value of financial advice and is committed to delivering a first-class advice-led service to clients to enable their financial well-being. Her teams are highly experienced investment and technical consultants, supporting delivery of SJP’s market leading proposition. They provide various support services to the Partnership, helping to ensure that clients’ financial goals and aspirations are planned for and achieved.

Alex’s interests within the sector include sustainable investing, philanthropy, and financial literacy, and she acts as a spokesperson for the firm on such issues. She is described as ‘technically gifted’, ‘an approachable, committed and driven leader’, ‘very client focussed, politics free and with amazing intuition’.

In addition to being ranked as a leader in her field in the Spear’s 500, for the third year running Alex has been recognised as one of PAM’s 50 Most Influential – those shaping private client wealth management in the UK and Crown Dependencies. She is also a member of STEP and a committee member of the Law Society’s Women Lawyers Division.
