‘Estate disputes can be a very trying and emotional time for people who have often lost someone close to them and are then immediately faced with a dispute,’ says Paula Myers, director of legal services for private client services with Irwin Mitchell.

The experienced partner deals with all types of challenges of wills, including issues relating to mental capacity, undue influence and irregularities, as well as claims for financial provision for spouses, co-habitees and children. ‘I have particular experience handling farming dispute claims involving the doctrine of proprietary estoppel,’ she says.

Paula is Director of Legal Services for Private Client Services leading a team of over 180 people looking after clients' tax and estate planning and dealing with disputes regarding Wills and Trusts. Throughout her career Paula has been passionate about helping people through their disputes and she continues to handle complicated trust and probate claims, generally in excess of £1 million, involving substantive issues of law and complex family arrangements acting for HNW individuals. 

Paula is ranked in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame, Citywealth’s Top 100 Private Client Litigator list and was featured in the Northern Powerwoman Top 50 Power 2023. She was also awarded the prestigious Step Founder’s Award.
