Laurent Gagnebin co-heads Rothschild & Co’s wealth management division, working in tandem with his London-based counterpart Helen Watson to oversee €36 billion in assets under management. He is also CEO of Rothschild & Co’s Swiss bank, which offers the typical suite of private banking services.

Around two-thirds of clients are international. ‘They want to preserve their assets and grow them over time,’ he says. This, however, does not prevent clients from accessing the private markets. Its merchant banking division has €15 billion under management, where the group and employees co-invest their own assets alongside clients.
