Managing director and founder
Prime Central London
Jo Eccles has spent more than a decade building her business, from its initial beginnings as a pure buying agency back in 2006 into a search and management offering of the highest quality. The 2021 Spear's Wealth Management Award-winner says: ‘No client or requirement is the same. We may be buying a family home, building a long-term buy-to-let portfolio with inheritance proceeds or for children, or for advising on how to achieve the best yields on a rental portfolio.'
Under Eccles’ stewardship, the firm has earned a gleaming reputation for discretion, honesty and insight. ‘We continue to believe that in London’s competitive property market it is essential to have expert representation you can trust,’ she adds.
Eccord specialises in the acquisition and management of prime residential property in central London. Clients range from sports stars and media personalities to entrepreneurs and senior finance and business leaders. 'We are also entrusted by the leading private banks and law firms to act for their clients discreetly, objectively and add genuine value and expertise,' she says.
Over the past 16 years, the team has won a multitude of awards and acquired almost 400 prime and super-prime properties across London and currently managing a portfolio of more than £1.5bn of rental investments and private homes. Highlights from a busy year include securing a £17m house in St Johns Wood entirely off market for a private equity couple ('we went directly to the owner with no sales agent involved', she says), finding an off market old rectory in Battersea for a family searching for lateral space, and beating competing buyers to secure a home in Belgravia 'even though we were offering less'. Eccles was recently named a 'superstar woman in property' and is a well-known commentator in the national press and television.
