Seven years after qualifying in 2009, Jessica Reid joined Dawson Cornwell, a firm that has been specialising in family law since 1972. Having established a specialism for divorce and financial claims, often with an international element, Reid was made partner in 2019. She joined a team with over 30 years of qualification between them.

‘I am astute at dealing with multi-faceted litigation with a focus on achieving settlement,’ says Reid. ‘My practice is bolstered by developing my mediation practice which has seen me instructed in complex disputes.’ Unusually for a London solicitor, she often conducts her own advocacy up to and including FDR hearings, and says that some clients specifically instruct her for this reason. She is a Resolution-trained mediator.

Jessica Reid is a partner in Dawson Cornwell's matrimonial team. Jessica advises on all areas of family law, including complex HNW financial cases arising out of marital and non-marital breakdown. She has particular expertise in non-disclosure cases, and those with offshore assets and international complexities. She is frequently instructed in very high value pre- and post-nuptial agreements. Whilst always working tirelessly and fearlessly for her clients, she is also very committed to settling cases outside of court, conducting negotiation and round table meetings, and has a very high settlement rate.
