Tim Barber covers the EMEA region as part of Duncan Aviation’s aircraft sales team. 

Explaining the company’s origins and growth into the private jet maintenance sector, he said: ‘Having started out in 1956 as an aircraft sales company, in response to client demand we started providing maintenance services, and now that’s by far the biggest percentage of the business. Often when someone, even our competitors, are selling their aircraft they’ll refer to the fact that the last major check was carried out by Duncan Aviation, as it’s synonymous with quality.’

‘For sales, we have a team in the US, and we effectively cover the rest of the world,’ he added. 

Dealing entirely with non-commercial jet aircraft, most of Barber’s clients are individuals or family offices, and his primary focus is ensuring they find a quality product and know what they’re getting into in terms of running costs. 

‘Duncan Aviation is right up there at the very very top of the market in terms of the perception of quality and customer service, and we can’t do anything to jeopardise that.’

Tim Barber is a long-time member of the Duncan Aviation Aircraft Sales & Acquisitions team, responsible for covering the EMEA regions. 

Tim’s activities have seen him working as an exclusively mandated broker on behalf of aircraft buyers and sellers in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, India, Australia, as well as the United States and South and Central America. He has been in aircraft sales and acquisitions for 15 years, and prior to joining Duncan Aviation he had been the driving force behind the establishment of JetBrokers Europe, ultimately overseeing its operational merger with JetBrokers Inc. 

Tim has a great deal of business experience, having run sizable companies and held directorships with businesses listed on the Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE) and the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in the UK. In 2019, he was named a Top 30 International Dealmaker by Corporate Jet Investor. Tim was also named one of the 10 Most Influential Leaders in the Aviation & Aerospace Industry by CIOLook Magazine.
