Spear’s Review

Deeply rooted in Swiss heritage and tradition, Collège Champittet was founded more than 120 years ago. The school offers a diverse curriculum, with students examined in either the IB curriculum, French Baccalaureate or Swiss Maturité.

Located in Lausanne, the school has two campuses: Pully and Nyon. The latter is available exclusively for students between 3 and 12 years old, while Pully is accessible to students between 3 and 18 years old. It is especially popular with older children in the region as it sits on the shores of Lake Geneva, offering the opportunity to pursue hobbies such as sailing, wakeboarding and paddleboarding.

Collège Champittet also partners and collaborates with leading organisations and universities including Juilliard, MIT and UNICEF.

Head teacher

A student at Collège Champittet de Pully from 1976 to 1982, Philippe de Korodi returned as managing director in 2015. He holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Lausanne and a postgraduate diploma in international relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science. In 2021, he obtained a certificate in educational management and leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Admissions

The family completes their child’s online application form and provides documentation. For primary students, this includes two years of school reports and a photocopy of their child’s passport or identification card. For students joining in secondary, they need to send the mentioned documents plus a recommendation form. These students also will take tests in mathematics and languages (French and/or English) created by Champittet teachers. For boarding students, a motivation interview is required.
