Leading a team of 70 specialist tax advisers at PwC, Christine Cairns’ role is no easy feat. She, alongside her team, works with a diverse client base that includes HNWs, family offices and management firms, to advise on alternative investment funds. Particular areas of expertise are private equity, hedge funds and venture capital. 

The firm says that Cairns’ team are ‘core to the alternative investment funds network which brings together PwC’s full suite of services to funds across all asset classes’. 

The Oxford graduate has been with the ‘Big Four’ firm for almost two decades and has developed a niche for ‘complex international matters’. This includes remittances, offshore trusts and inheritance tax.
