The thorough programme of tests carried out at Lumen’s Harley Street clinic are designed to detect problems that might indicate future risks such as heart disease, or the very early stages of conditions such as common cancers so they can be treated as non-invasively as possible.

The testing regime itself is carried out by dedicated nurses, cardiologists, radiographers and MRI scanning technicians. Then each patient goes through their results with programme director Dr Savin (or one of his colleagues), to make sure all of the data is fully understood.

In the event of problems being detected, the Lumen doctors can make suggestions for lifestyle changes, or pass their findings on to the patient’s own doctor for further treatment.
