Patrick Harney is a cross-border tax specialist with experience of working in Dublin, London and New York. With clients including HNWs, family offices and hedge funds in all three countries, the former racehorse-owner has built a specialist practice advising on US-UK and UK-Irish tax, trust and estate planning and UK resident non-domiciled tax planning.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given his transatlantic work, Harney lists his two-year secondment at a New York law firm, begun in 2005, as one of two pivotal moments in his career. ‘It gave me a deep understanding of US tax practice and culture,’ he says.
