Matthew Ewens was initially called to the Bar in 2006 and cross-qualified as a solicitor in January 2012. Now a legal director in the white-collar crime and investigations group within the litigation department at Mishcon de Reya, he specialises in all aspects of serious fraud, complex crime and other associated civil causes of action.

Matthew was recently successful in defending an individual against serious corruption allegations and securing an acquittal following a trial brought by the SFO. With experience of representing clients who face allegations of bribery in civil proceedings, Matthew regularly advises on managing parallel criminal and civil aspects.
