A member of Mishcon de Reya’s luxury assets group, Amanda Gray’s current practice includes clients across the art market spectrum, with Gray frequently advising on both contentious and non-contentious matters.

Her advice has included sale and purchase agreements, art and antique collection management, loan and agency agreements, artists’ resale rights regulations and advising the wider market on AML regulations. ‘My aim is to provide clients with commercial and solution-driven advice on matters that are often very public and sensitive, affecting their reputations and legacies, as well as their commercial interests,’ she says.

The job’s appeal comes from its interesting clients. ‘Lawyers are in the privileged position of being clients’ close advisers,’ says Gray. ‘We are with them through their successes, crises and challenges.’
