Tammy Knox, a partner at Penningtons Manches Cooper, specialises in all areas of family law but is known particularly for her cross-border children work, including in complex abduction and relocation cases. 

Her reported cases include having an application for summary return struck out under the Hague Convention, and a successful intervention in a high-profile case concerning a transgender birth parent (the latter on behalf of a human rights NGO).

Knox, chair of the Resolution children committee, is also the author of the private law children chapter of the Resolution handbook. She is a founding member of the Child Abduction Lawyers Association.

She has written and spoken on topics including parental alienation and the proposed recognition of the Gender Reform Act.
