James Pavey
Spear’s Review
James Pavey is the head of Irwin Mitchell’s rural business and estates team in the UK, which covers a wide range of matters concerning rural landholdings, HNW and institutional landowners. He has considerable litigation expertise in both public law and private law cases and spends most of his time on property transaction matters, with a particular focus on ‘unlocking the development of land’.
Pavey increasingly spends his time performing the role of a trusted adviser, whether as a trustee or a principal adviser to trustees, or as a go-to partner for clients on transactional matters.
Outside work, he is a member of the Country Land and Business Association’s legal, parliamentary and property rights committee and a past president of the Cambridge University Land Society.
