Carl Newman leads the white collar crime and investigations team in the UK and frequently works with Withers partners in their offices around the world, especially the US and Singapore.
Given that the string of cases he’s worked on reads like a series of thrillers it’s not hard to see why he chose his specialisation in law, but it’s not the excitement that attracted him.
He said, ‘I always wanted to support the individual who's being faced by the power of whatever organisation is investigating them. I always liked the idea of being the one who stands there shoulder to shoulder with that individual and makes sure that everything is done properly and that they have all the opportunities they deserve.’
