White-collar crime specialist Ian Ryan has more than a quarter of a century’s worth of experience handling matters of business crime and serious fraud.

The head of Howard Kennedy’s business crime team runs an international practice that has seen him represent clients in investigations by the SFO, the FCA, the CMA, HMRC, the CPS and the NCA.

Ryan lends his expertise to both individual and corporate clients on high-profile, complex and serious fraud, financial crime and regulatory work.

Recent highlights includes successfully defending Achim Kraemer (2018) and Andreas Hauschild (2019) at trial. The former Deutsche Bank traders were charged with manipulating Euribor between 2005 and 2006. He has also been involved in the SFO investigations into Patisserie Valerie, GSK and Tesco.
