Clement Hutton-Mills

Spear's Review

Clement Hutton-Mills joined Goldman Sachs in 2021, as part of a large expansion of the bank’s private wealth team within its London base. The former Rothschild & Co banker prides himself on what he describes as a ‘proactive’ approach, paired with an ability to explain complex investment concepts in ‘straightforward’ language.

‘I aim to be reassuring – and to be the person clients turn to first when considering their overall portfolio, as well as for broader advice including any financing requirements,’ says the Oxford graduate.

He spends a considerable amount of time with each of his clients to ensure they are ‘comfortable with the approach being adopted at all times’. He tells Spear’s that spending his early career years supporting clients amid the fallout from the 2008 financial crisis was a highly formative experience.

Adviser Profile

Clement is a private wealth advisor at Goldman Sachs. He joined the firm in 2021, and focuses on advising private clients, family offices, charities and trusts on their investments and financing needs.

He joined Goldman Sachs from Rothschild & Co, where he was a Managing Director in the Wealth Management division. He started his career at JPMorgan Asset Management and UBS Wealth Management.

Clement read Modern Languages at St. Edmund Hall, Oxford. He is a Trustee (‘Lay Canon’) of St Paul’s Cathedral and serves on a number of Boards and Investment Committees for Non-Profits.
