August Hatecke assumed the role of country head for UBS in Singapore in 2019, replacing Edmund Koh, who was promoted to head of the Asia and Pacific region.

Hatecke is responsible for UBS strategy in Singapore and, alongside Amy Lo in Hong Kong, is co-head of wealth management for Asia-Pacific. Previously UBS head of UHNW and global family office for Switzerland, Hatecke began his career with the investment banking arm of SBC O’Connor Warburg Dillon Read in 1992, before moving to the firm’s private banking division.

In 2023, it was reported that Hatecke would return to Zurich and take up a new role within UBS.

Between 2001 and 2010 he was at Credit Suisse. Hatecke holds a Masters degree in economics from the University of Zurich.
