Larry Smith, head of energy and industry at Hanover, provides political and public affairs advice to an impressive client pool of businesses and corporates involved in energy intensive industries, renewables, green investment, among others.

Smith cites several notable achievements in his role which include leading ‘the team’s approach to COP 26 and the net zero agenda’ and the advocacy team’s response to political developments such as the 2019 General Election and Covid-19.

Similar to the founder of Hanover who had a political background and was the press secretary to John Major, Smith served as a parliamentary aide to a former Labour whip and was an organiser on Ed Miliband’s campaign for labour leadership.
