Rupert Elwes, who heads Waverton’s private client arm, comes highly recommended by the firm. He joined in 2001 as a director and was promoted in 2019 to his current role, replacing wealth management veteran Christopher Rose, who still serves as senior portfolio manager.

Elwes is a member of Waverton’s management committee. He also developed and led the firm’s offshore service and continues to manage ‘a broad range’ of both offshore and onshore portfolios, according to the firm.

The Exeter University geography graduate gained investment experience at INVESCO Asset Management and Ely Fund Managers. He is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), having passed the CISI Diploma.
