Founded in 2008, Therium is one of the longest-established litigation funders in the world, with a track record of successful investing across 12 funds, funding claims valued at $36 billion.

John Byrne co-founded the firm with Neil Purslow, and now acts as a director and CEO. The solicitor holds LLB and LLM degrees, and is a former managing partner of the London office of Dorsey & Whitney. In that role, Byrne acquired PwC’s tax litigation team and a VAT litigation team from Ernst & Young.
