Doris Summavilla’s broad background in family governance and succession made her a perfect fit for Stonehage Fleming when the firm hired her as UK client relationship director in 2021.

As well as more than a decade of investment management experience, Sommervilla is herself a third-generation member of a family business, where she is a non-executive director. She joined the firm from Blu Family office, where, as a principal, she held responsibility in alternative assets and business development in jurisdictions including UK, Italy, Germany and Monaco. ‘I am passionate about helping families plan for succession and become resilient now and for future generations,’ she says.
