Ben Glassman of Evelyn Partners specialises in the finances of divorcing couples, and planning for their future prosperity after a break-up.

The trend within family law is towards cooperation between the divorcing parties, and Glassman is happy to continue that within finance.

‘There are opportunities within the divorce space ... which can maximise settlements by being a bit more strategic about how one goes about divorce,’ he tells Spear’s. ‘When it comes to divorce, we do our best work when we’re working collaboratively.’

Pensions, tax, financial planning and investments all fall under Glassman’s team. While the best results do come from working together, he acknowledges that it is not always possible. ‘Historically, we have done work where it’s more of a litigious divorce,’ he says.
