Working within Ocorian’s very flat, meritocratic management structure Ian Rumens is head of the company’s Jersey office but makes full use of the expertise he has around him.

He told Spear’s, ‘I've been in the army and I recognize that actually, while you're still the figurehead, there are going to be people in the room who know more about the subject matter than you. We've got a skill set, and that's how I run Jersey. I become more of a moderator in the room.’

WIth a background in pirate client law on the UK mainland, Rumens now provides structuring and asset advices to high net worth individuals, family offices and trusts on Jersey and internationally.
