Simon Baylis joined the tax team at BDO after a merger with Moore Stephens, where he’d served as partner since 2007. Now based at BDO’s Baker Street office, he brings his two decades of experience in accountancy and tax to advise HNWs on structuring assets in a tax-efficient and tax-friendly manner. 

One particular area of expertise is instructing non-doms on issues relating to remittance and offshore structuring. 

Baylis’s client pool also includes members of HNW families who have large real estate portfolios or assets in other jurisdictions. A chartered accountant and tax adviser, Baylis began his career as an auditor before moving into the arena of private wealth at the end of the 1990s.
