Wayne Dutton is director of BDO’s private client tax offering in north-west England, operating between Manchester and Liverpool. 

‘Within BDO we offer wider tax services, but I focus on private client work and deal with a range of high- and ultra-high-net-worths,’ he tells Spear’s. ‘They’re private equity people, sports personalities, entrepreneurs, UK residents and non-residents. So really across the whole playing field.’

Dutton and his team support a full range of UK private clients with trusts, succession planning and HMRC investigations. His knowledge of regulatory affairs was bolstered by five years spent working at the Revenue; this was followed by a 22-year stretch at PwC.
