Tom Christopherson is a major figure in the art and legal worlds, advising collectors, dealers and institutions on contentious and non-contentious aspects of the art market.

As well as acting as a senior adviser at Canvas Art Law, for which he earns his Spear’s recommendation for his work with private clients, Christopherson is also a legal consultant at Bonhams and a consultant lecturer at Sotheby’s Institute of Art.

As a recognised expert in his field, Christopherson is a member of the anti money laundering subcommittee of the British Art Market Federation, and helped to produce the anti money laundering in art guidelines that have now been adopted as official by the British Treasury.
