Spear's Review

Edinburgh-based Seonaid Cochrane joined SKO Family Law in 2021. Family law represented a pivot in her career which had up until then primarily been focused in commercial law.

She tells Spear's that her background in commercial law differentiates her from other lawyers in the field and consequently enjoys working on cases that have a business element. 

Aside from her focus on commercial cases, she also instructs on  complex matters relating to children. '‘I’ve just dealt with a complex child abduction case,' she says. 'It involved issues that haven’t been dealt with before’.

Cochrane sits as a panel member on Glasgow's Children Panel and is a member of the Scottish Young Lawyers Association.
