After nearly 40 years at Berwin Leighton Paisner, including more than a decade leading its private wealth practice, Jonathan Kropman joined Trowers & Hamlins in 2018 to lead the expansion of the firm’s private wealth offering, both in the UK and further afield. The department advises UHNW and HNW individuals and families on all aspects of private client work, including tax and succession matters.

Kropman tells Spear’s that the department’s cross-border practice draws on Trowers’ expertise in real estate and advising owner-managed businesses, as well as the firm’s longstanding presence in the Gulf region. Drawing on these strengths, Kropman and his team help UHNW clients to invest in real estate and protect their assets and wealth via onshore and offshore trusts.
