Jimmy Baillie founded debt advisory business Silver Oak Capital in London, but now runs the business – which, like its client base, is international – from the City and his native South Africa. Silver Oak brokers and advises on loans to (U)HNWs through its strong relationships with private banks around the world. Clients include private individuals, family offices and real estate developers from locations around the globe, including the UK, France, Spain, Dubai and South Africa. 

Projects carried out by Silver Oak's clients have included private homes, buy-to-lets, hotel conversions and office buildings. Debt ranges from commercial mortgages to refinancing and bridging loans, with a specialism in loans exceeding the £2 million mark.

Baillie, who is a keen amateur cyclist and snowboarder, holds a post-graduate degree in economics and mathematics from the University of Cape Town.
