William Proger has been managing wealth for 21 years, in institutions ranging from private banks such as C. Hoare & Co. to large institutions such as Barclays. 

In August 2020, Proger left Saranac Partners to found his own firm, William & Partners. A wealth management firm ‘for the modern age’, the discretionary business can offer trading alongside core asset management, as well as consultancy and, increasingly, private asset projects. It counts time-saving as an objective alongside wealth protection. 

‘We’re quite an experienced bunch,’ says Proger, who also describes his team as ‘diverse’. The firm, he says, is able to turn its hand to an array of wealth management issues – some conventional and some more niche, which other firms are often ‘not nimble enough to think about’.
