A partner in Farrer & Co’s private client team, Rachel Mainwaring-Taylor advises UK and international clients on succession and estate planning, with a particular focus on cross-border issues. This work includes advising on residence and domicile status, exposure to UK tax and planning, use of reliefs and exemptions, and conflicts of inheritance laws between different jurisdictions.
She also advises trustees, settlors and beneficiaries on administration, taxation and governance and also sits as a fee-paid judge in the first-tier tribunal (tax). A French and German speaker, she is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the International Bar Association.
