Paul Nixon set up LGT's US division in 2013 to cater to US-connected UHNWs caught up in the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA). Nixon now serves as the CEO of this growing arm of the firm which reports an increasing number of referrals, largely through word of mouth – testament to the level of service his team of advisers provide clients on both sides of the Atlantic.

Paul Nixon is the founder and CEO of LGT Wealth Management US and a Partner at LGT Wealth Management. In 2013, he established the US business specifically to help clients with personal and financial connections to the US.

Prior to joining LGT in 2008, Paul worked for a boutique private client firm focused on UK resident non-domiciled high-net-worth individuals, and wholesale and international banking roles in the UK, Miami and Channel Islands.

Paul and his team help their US-nexus clients navigate the jurisdictional constraints of managing their wealth under multiple tax regimes. He believes that a global perspective is the best way to achieve this and collaborates with a network of partners in the best interest of his clients. With extensive experience in working with US connected clients and their advisers, Paul ensures that investments are not only suitable for each client and their objectives but remain compliant and structured in the most efficient manner.

Paul believes that there is not a shortcut to building trust when it comes to client relationships. 'Once trust has been established with our clients, it allows us the opportunity to offer a wide range of personal and professional services to help our clients achieve their goals in all aspects of their lives.'
