Harbour’s senior director of legal finance, Oliver Way, manages a portfolio of disputes with a focus on offshore jurisdictions, particularly those connected to Australia, Canada and Brazil. Established in 2007, the company is a privately-owned litigation funder which has raised more than $1 billion of third-party capital, covering cases in 13 jurisdictions.
He joined the firm in 2018 from Slaughter & May’s dispute resolution arm where he acted on numerous cases involving high profile companies and individuals. Prior to that he worked in-house through secondments to several FTSE 100 companies, including Vodafone.
Way trained as a solicitor at Herbert Smith Freehills where he gained experience in working with HNW clients and corporates. He holds a first class BSc in management sciences from the University of Southampton.
