From its distinctive, bright-red, two-centuries-old listed premises on the Clerkenwell Road, Antique Watch Co has been operating successfully for over 35 years, thanks to a love of traditional horology and a belief in the watch’s investment potential. 

Jonathan Griffiths heads the family business, serving as manager, head watchmaker and main purchaser.

‘We have a reputation for watch-making and watch repairs, case-making, jewellery-making, engraving, clock repair, as silversmiths and for stocking watch parts and materials,’ it explains. The firm offers a full-service watch repair from quartz to mechanical, plus full cover, via its shop or online – ‘from trench World War One to the funky Sixties and Seventies, to chronograph, or moon watches’.
