James Forbes and James Gilbert-Green founded Forbes Gilbert-Green in 2021, creating a potent force at the top end of the capital’s residential property market and transacting on some of the most sought-after properties in London’s prime postcodes.
Forbes tells Spear’s the firm has transacted on £800 million worth of properties, with 18 being above the £20 million mark. Recent successes include two major transactions in the luxury development One Hyde Park.
Forbes, who previously oversaw Strutt & Parker’s Knightsbridge and Belgravia office, says that in response to a volatile market, clients are increasingly looking for ‘turnkey and best in class’. ‘That’s always a challenge to find, so our skill is to unearth those opportunities to find the best things available.’
