Angel Investment Network has grown from a lightbulb moment between two childhood friends in 2004 to a global network connecting investors and entrepreneurs from all over the world. Now with nearly two million members, the service is bridging the space between great ideas, talent and investment. 

Co-founder James Badgett says the Phileas Fogg-like journey of their network meant over 100,000 pitches were submitted last year, with ideas coming from almost every country – North Korea and Guinea included. Badgett is keen to stress that in this age of rapid innovation, it’s not just about the latest ‘OMG’ idea, but rather CVs and people: ‘If you’ve got an idea plus a great team, you’re going somewhere.’
