Once a BBC television presenter and reporter on the current affairs programme Here and Now, Anastasia Baker tried to continue working following the birth of her son but soon realised that no agencies were offering the night-time support she needed to keep up with her demanding job.

‘I approached 17 agencies and no one was doing it,’ she told The Guardian. This gave her the idea to found Night Nannies in 1999, a company that has given over 10,000 parents a good night’s rest, as well as expert solutions to sleep, feeding and routine problems. 

She now manages over 500 professional nannies across the UK, available within 24 hours of calling the company.
