A fascination with aviation brought Amanda Applegate into the aircraft world in 1998, straight after completing her legal studies.

She worked for NetJets for 12 years as associate general counsel and vice president before joining Aerlex, where she served as partner. In early 2022, Applegate joined Soar Aviation Law as a founding partner. The firm positions itself as ‘a women-owned law firm specializing in business aviation law.’ 

Cleveland-based Applegate particularly likes to work with clients who are new to aviation but have a burgeoning interest in the industry. With a personal passion for aircraft, she is a featured columnist for Business Air magazine and speaks for organisations such as the National Business Aviation Association.
