Spear’s Review

Repton School Al Barsha, formerly known as Foremarke School, accepts pupils from the ages of 3 to 18 but is fundamentally known in Dubai for the quality of its preparatory education. Grounded in the UK curriculum, students are encouraged to be critical thinkers and carve out their own futures.

The school is an Apple distinguished school. This denotes Repton School Al Barsha as a ‘centre of leadership and educational excellence’. The label is conferred by the technology company only to those schools it considers to be the most innovative.

In line with this, digital literacy is central to teaching, and students are provided with their own iPads. The school also has its own innovation wing, which includes green screens, robotic devices, drones and VR.

Head teacher

Chandini Misra, principal at Repton Al Barsha, has worked in a variety of teaching roles in the state and independent sectors, including at Bethnal Green Academy in London, Leeds City Academy and Jumeirah College in Dubai. Misra graduated from Keble College, University of Oxford, where she read chemistry (MChem).
