Along with her co-founder Joan Mallon, Shanah Taub founded Mallon + Taub two decades ago after an inspirational trip to an eyecare fashion show in Milan. 

Aiming to combine a technologically-informed eyecare testing service with the most exciting fashion trends in the world of spectacles, the duo operate a comprehensive optometry testing service and advice to help their clientele understand different eye conditions. They use cutting edge ophthalmic lenses, which are produced by leading designers from Germany and Japan, the firm says.

As well as having their own fashionable eyecare range (the duo partner with a natural materials designer in Germany to produce handcrafted horn frames, which have become a signature item for the store), the boutique collection of eyewear frames features some of the most prominent designers, as well as specialised specs for different leisure activities and sports.
